The San Antonio Spurs have done an excellent job developing French rookie forward Victor Wembanyama and the rest of the team’s younger players this season as the Spurs head into the thick of the stretch run. Now, with only a handful of games left on the schedule, the team’s front office and head coach Gregg Popovich need to decide what to focus on for the rest of the season.
Should they continue pushing skill development, even at the expense of winning? Should the Spurs maximize their draft position with some questionable lineups? Or should they focus on protecting the health of Wemby in a season with little to play for?
