What Kirk Ferentz had to say after the Iowa Hawkeyes’ open 2023 spring practice

What did Kirk Ferentz have to say after the Iowa Hawkeyes concluded the spring? Here’s everything from Coach Ferentz.

The spring season for the Iowa Hawkeyes has officially come and gone.

It was highlighted by the arrival of Michigan transfer quarterback Cade McNamara. As the case always is, the hope is that the Hawkeyes made some legitimate strides throughout the past several months.

Some of that growth was on display during Iowa’s annual open spring practice. While there were plenty of key pieces nursing injuries, there was still plenty to see and takeaways to be had from the open spring practice that was.

With spring practices in the rearview, the focus will turn to individual strength and conditioning before the team comes back together in the summer.

Before that, Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz met with the media one final time to put a wrap on and share thoughts on the spring portion of the Hawkeyes’ schedule.
