Who is new Boston Celtics two-way big man Neemias Queta?

A native of Lisbon, Portugal, who played his college ball at Utah State, Queta was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2021 with the 39th pick.

During his college days, Queta excelled in his block rate and rebound rate, and his per-100 possessions averages were impressive: 28.6 points, 19.4 rebounds, 6.4 blocks and 5.1 assists.

Queta stood out as a big who could swat shots away and act as a passing hub, a rare combination, especially for a 7-foot player. But he has struggled at the NBA level. He has spent plenty of time in the G League working on his game and was that league’s runner-up for MVP.
