The Boston Celtics likely plan to extend All-NBA forward Jaylen Brown’s contract this offseason, despite the potential salary cap complications that will be created by having him and Jayson Tatum on supermax deals. Tatum is eligible for his supermax deal the season after next.
The guard rotation of Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Malcolm Brogdon and Payton Pritchard also needs to be addressed. Though the offseason is only a few days old, rumblings to that effect are already growing louder across the NBA media.

The hosts of the “A Funky Diabetic” podcast recently put together a video where they break down the challenges Boston faces, and how they think the Celtics will try to solve those concerns. Check it out in the clip embedded above.
