Winners of 21 of their last 24 games and owners of the top defense in the league and a top-10 offense as well, the Boston Celtics have taken the NBA by storm since the start of the new year, turning heads with the sheer dominance of their wins in recent weeks.
Pointing to their smothering, switchy brand of defense under head coach Ime Udoka coupled with the star forwards Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum increasingly getting better at dealing with double-teams and moving the ball on the other end of the court, analysts are increasingly coming around to the idea of the Celtics as legitimate title contenders.
But now that we know where the Celtics are strong, where are they weak? This particular question was investigated by the hosts of the Basketball News “Dunker’s Spot” podcast, with hosts Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones, Jr. joined by guest Seerat Sohi of The Ringer diving into what might be the soft underbelly of the Celtics.
