The North Carolina men’s basketball program continued their dominance to kick off the season with their third consecutive win over UC Riverside Friday night.
This victory was extra special, with defense taking center stage with UNC holding Riverside to 19 for 62 from the field (30.6%). North Carolina also disrupted Riverside passing lanes, forcing 15 turnovers. UNC finished with nine steals and eight blocks.
Despite a great defensive game, UNC found new struggles, one that gave glimpses of last season with the Tar Heels shooting 6 for 21 behind the arch. They did move the ball decent with 15 assists and 9 turnovers on the night.
This game continues a positive trend for [autotag]Hubert Davis[/autotag], who has received high praise for better usage of his bench.
After the 77-52 win, Davis spoke with the media to recap the win and give an insight into what’s next for the Tar Heels as they head to the Bahamas.
