The Boston Celtics signed former Sacramento Kings big man Neemias Queta to a two-way contract, filling the final of three such roster spots. Queta, a 24-year-old native of Lisbon, Portugal, stands 7-feet tall and weighs about 250 pounds, making him an imposing presence on the basketball court.
While not known for his shooting away from the basket, he excels as a roller and as a solid finisher at the rim, with a field goal percentage that exceeded 60% in some games at the NBA’s 2023 Las Vegas Summer League. Queta was the 39th pick in the 2021 NBA draft by the Kings, and they invested in his development over the past couple of years.
CLNS Media reporter Bobby Manning recently sat down to talk us through what the deal means for the Celtics this season, what role Queta will have in Boston and more in the video embedded below.
