Slowly but surely, it seems that Florida’s defense is coming along. But it’s been far from perfect, and the last three outings against Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Tennessee all featured offenses that are among the league’s worst.
LSU‘s struggling unit isn’t much better. It ranks sixth in the SEC, but that’s a bit misleading as it’s skewed from strong performances earlier in the year before the injury to quarterback Myles Brennan. Since Oct. 24, the Tigers have cracked 400 yards just once.
Still, this game presents one more opportunity for UF’s defense to tighten up before it faces its toughest challenge of the season in Alabama.
