What did Jamison Crowder say after scoring game-winning TD vs Eagles?

The Commanders actually practiced the game-winning play on Friday.

One month ago, Commanders’ receiver Jamison Crowder was still on IR, and many were wondering if Crowder might have even played his last game for the Burgundy and Gold.

Sunday, he was catching two touchdown passes, including the game-winner, with six seconds remaining in Washington’s 36-33 win over the Eagles.

What did Crowder have to say after the game?

How does Crowder feel being part of a win like this?

“It feels great. Obviously, it was a tough, tough ball game. We knew it was going to be a tough game. We didn’t play as well as we wanted to, but at the end of the day, we were able to pull the win out. We’re getting ready. On to the next one.”

What about his game-winning touchdown play?

“It was a play that we had, in this week in the red zone, and it’s crazy, Friday, we actually ran it, and I caught the same pass. So, we got the same look that we had thought we were going to get. And in my mind, just had to kind of get on the other side of that linebacker there and be ready for the ball. And Jayden [Daniels] delivered a great pass, and I let it make a play.”

What did Crowder see in Jayden Daniels’ during the last two minutes?

“I think I see a lot of poise. You know, that was for the game. That’s a huge win for us. Obviously, we had the interception on the previous possession, but the defense gave us a shot, and we knew that we had to make plays and guys made plays. Jayden made throws, got us down in position to win the game. And we did it.”

On Jayden Daniels not flinching under pressure:

“That was one of the things they asked me back in training camp. What was some, of the traits or characteristics I see in his game. I just said that he was poised, cool, calm, collected under pressure. A lot of times you don’t get that from a lot of quarterbacks. So, that’s one of the things he has. And he was poised.”

What does it mean to be be back in a game like this?

“It means a lot. Obviously, it sucked to miss time, but one thing I kind of noticed about, like sometimes, you miss time and just kinda be on the sideline and with the team, you kind of see things that you might not see on the field. I felt like I was able to dissect things from the side. I knew once I got my opportunity, I’d be able to fit right in. And, fortunately I’ve been able to do that last weekend.”

What was it like in the huddle on the last drive?

“We knew what was at stake. We knew it was a pressure moment. You just had to be cool and calm, and make sure that we know our details, of whatever was called and was able to go out and execute.”

What does Crowder think is possible for the team?

“As long as we just keep working, keep getting better, winning, man. We’re just trying to get into that tournament, trying to get into the playoffs, and just see what happens.”
