The polarizing state of the Celtics as they head into the upcoming NBA season reflects the moves they made in the offseason, and those moves likely raise Boston’s ceiling at the same time they also raise its floor.
The recent trade which saw veteran Marcus Smart being swapped for star center Kristaps Porzingis has sparked a wide range of opinions among fans and analysts, and injuries and aging players also feed into the concern.
But the Celtics have more tools in their toolkit with increased size and shooting in their newest iteration; will it be enough to hang a banner?
