While Michigan football will certainly have a quarterback battle in the coming months when fall camp begins, that will have to wait, as summer conditioning sets the stage for Cade McNamara vs. J.J. McCarthy.
Though McNamara acknowledges that competition makes both him and the team better, he’s focused more on growing into a more substantial leadership position, as well as leading the Wolverines to a second-straight conference championship.
McNamara appeared on the ‘In the Trenches’ podcast with Jon Jansen on Wednesday and shared some thoughts on the offense, from new center Olusegun Oluwatimi, to Ronnie Bell’s return, to how the competition with McCarthy helps the team.
