Malcolm Brogdon’s relationship with the Boston Celtics appears to be on shaky ground, stemming from a failed trade deal in June. Initially, the Celtics were close to trading Brogdon to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team trade that would have brought Kristaps Porzingis from the Washington Wizards to Boston. However, the Clippers canceled the deal while the Celtics proceeded with a separate trade involving Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies centered around Porzingis.
Brogdon, unsurprisingly, did not react well to the reports of the near-trade and reportedly harbored resentment towards the Celtics per Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe.
The hosts of the Bluewire “NBA Front Office Show” recently sat down to talk over the rumored ire of the Virginia alum towards the Celtics and what it could mean for their season ahead.
