There’s a very simple reason why you should never bet on a game when two very bad (or underperforming) teams are playing against each other. You never have any clue just how ugly things can get.
West Virginia bettors who took the Mountaineers (+5/+5.5) in the first half against Oklahoma learned this in extremely sickening fashion on Saturday.
With 33 seconds left before halftime, and WVU trailing 10-6, the Mountaineers lined up for a PAT attempt that should’ve been routine considering kicker Casey Legg hadn’t missed an extra point all year. Except West Virginia fumbled the snap. The Sooners pounced and quickly came away with the ball, returning it to their own end zone for a two-point conversion.
If you had West Virginia 1H +5 we are truly sorry ðŸ˜pic.twitter.com/07lQiwYX8k

Instead of WVU trailing 10-7, and covering the first half spread, Oklahoma went up 12-6 and made that all but impossible.
Just absolutely brutal stuff for a West Virginia team that just can’t catch a break lately.
