Fans of Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele will have to wait a little while longer for his next film.
The Get Out and Us writer and director has dated his fourth project for Oct. 23, 2026, which is roughly four years after his 2022 blockbuster thriller Nope.
While Peele keeps a healthy roster of producing credits for his Monkeypaw Productions, the 2026 film at Universal is his next official directing credit.
His fourth film was originally slated for release this Christmas, but the 2023 Hollywood strikes likely delayed production on the project.
While more than two years is a daunting wait for one of the most celebrated auteurs of his generation, Peele’s track record is more than enough to keep us waiting for what he’s got up his sleeve next.

Until then, we’ll just keep rewatching his previous films and keep our eye out for the Monkeypaw films slated for release ahead of Peele’s next film, like the Peele-produced 2025 football thriller Him.
