So far, the 2024 college football season is living up to the preseason hype, Florida State is out to 0-3 start, Texas is ranked No. 1 in the country and Notre Dame losing a home game to Northern Illinois. The craziest part is we are still just three weeks in, it’s only going to get more wild from here.
The Week 4 AP Poll has a new No. 1, with the Longhorns overtaking Georgia for the top spot, who narrowly survived Kentucky 13-12 on Saturday night. The Alabama Crimson Tide remains No. 4 in this week’s ranking despite a 32-point road victory over a solid Wisconsin Badgers team. The Tide will be on a bye this week before hosting the now-ranked No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs in one of the biggest showdowns of the year.
For the second straight week, the SEC is home to six of the top seven teams with Ole Miss, Tennessee and Missouri rounding it out. It sure seems like the SEC will have a case to get five or six teams into this first 12-team Playoff.
