Week 3 AP Poll sees massive shake up in top five of the rankings

Alabama football stays at No. 4 despite massive movement in top 5 of Week 2 AP Poll.

Week 2 of the college football season certainly didn’t disappoint with the Texas Longhorns blowing out Michigan in Ann Arbor, No. 5 Notre Dame losing at home to Northern Illinois, and the Alabama Crimson Tide surviving a second-consecutive scare from the USF Bulls.

As a result of Saturday’s chaos, the Week 3 AP Poll has a lot of movement, especially inside the top ten. Alabama remains at No. 4 in the ranking, but Texas jumped Ohio State for the No. 2 ranking and Ole Miss climbed into the top five. It is worth noting that six of the top seven teams are from the SEC with the Tennessee Volunteers climbing seven spots after defeating a ranked NC State by 41.

The Crimson Tide will face a much tougher test this weekend as they go on the road to take on the Wisconsin Badgers. There should be some concern given the way Alabama performed last week, but with both offensive tackles expected to be back we should see a much better squad.
