Six teams in the SEC found themselves ranked in the AP Poll after three weeks of college football. Another three teams picked up votes to land just outside the Top 25.
Arkansas isn’t among them.
The Razorbacks were the de facto No. 27 team in the poll last week, but after a 38-31 loss to Brigham Young on Saturday, they didn’t get a single vote from the media.
What bodes worse for Arkansas is that of those nine schools who find themselves among the best in FBS, the Hogs play five them, starting with No. 12 LSU in Week 4 in Baton Rouge.
The Tigers went up two spots after handling Mississippi State to open SEC play last week. After traveling to Arlington, Texas, for the yearly game against Texas A&M, which didn’t pick up any votes, the Razorbacks head to No. 15 Ole Miss then No. 12 Alabama.
Georgia stayed the No. 1 team after the defending champs beat South Carolina. Tennessee fell 12 spots to No. 23 after falling to Florida, which made its Top 25 debut in the 25th spot.
Just on the outside was Missouri, Kentucky and Auburn. Missouri is de facto No. 27, Kentucky is No. 33 and Auburn picked up a lone vote.
