Week 17 NFL Power Rankings: More questions than answers.

The NFL regular season is over and the playoff field is set. Final Power Rankings reveal just how many teams have questions than answers.

Late in Pink Floyd’s rock opera “The Wall,” the main character Pink, a musician slowly descending into the throes of an existential crisis invites a groupie back to his hotel room. The scene, and the corresponding track “One Of My Turns” builds to a crescendo of anger and mania. Pink has more questions than answers:

Would you like to watch TV?
Or get between the sheets?
Or contemplate the silent freeway?
Would you like something to eat?
Would you like to learn to fly? Would you?
Would you like to see me try?
Would you like to call the cops?
Do you think it’s time I stopped?
Why are you running away?

Is this reference building to something, or just one more chance for me to force Doug Farrar – a noted critic of Pink Floyd – to encounter more of their lyrics. Who can say?

(Not gonna happen, bud. — Doug)

But watching the events of the final week of the regular season unfold, it became clear that for many teams, including those headed to the playoffs, also face more questions than answers. We’ll dive into that and more in our final Power Rankings of the 2020 NFL regular season.
