Week 11 AP Poll sees little movement in the top ten

Alabama football stays at No. 8 in the Week 11 AP Poll

The path to the College Football Playoffs gets more clear by the week for the Alabama Crimson Tide. After dropping a home game in Week 2 to the Texas Longhorns, the Tide have been lights out as they have rattled off seven straight wins and are getting better by the week. Alabama picked up arguably their best win of the season as they knocked off the LSU Tigers by two touchdowns to essentially lock up the SEC West.

No team has ever made the playoffs with two losses so many people considered the Tide’s national championship aspirations to be over after their Week 2 loss. Road trips to both Kentucky and Auburn loom in the future, but a potential date with Georgia in the SEC Championship Game is the date everyone has eyes on. With a potential 12-1 record and SEC Championship, it would be borderline impossible to leave Alabama out of the final four, especially when you consider their lone loss would be about three months before Playoff selection day.

The Week 11 AP Poll saw little movement in the top ten with Oklahoma being the only team to lose and they were No. 10 entering the weekend. As for Alabama, with no losses ahead of them they will stat ay No. 8 heading into next weekend.

Alabama has played a sneaky difficult schedule to this point in the season with their lone loss coming to No. 7 Texas. Nick Saban’s squad does have some really impressive wins such as No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 14 Tennessee and No. 18 LSU.
