The Weber State Wildcats (6-7) visit the No. 9 Oregon Ducks (11-1) Sunday. Tip-off from Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene is set for 5 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Weber State vs. Oregon odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.
Weber State lost 64-62 loss against the Utah Valley Wolverines its last time out on Dec. 21 while failing to cover as a 2-point favorite. The Wildcats’ downfall was their inability to hit 3-point shots as they shot just 25% (5-of-20) from beyond the arc. The Wildcats also struggled at the foul line, hitting just 9 of 15 free throws (60%).
Oregon beat the Stanford Cardinal 76-61 on Dec. 21 while covering as a 5.5-point favorite. The Ducks held Stanford to just 23-of-62 (37.1%) shooting from the field and 8 of 30 (26.7%) from deep. Oregon outscored the Cardinal 22-7 at the free throw line.
Oregon beat Weber State 68-59 in 2011, the only time these teams have played.

Weber State at Oregon picks and predictions
Prediction
Oregon 68, Weber State 64
Moneyline
PASS.
Oregon is the better team and should have no trouble beating the Wildcats as the Ducks are simply more talented and more proven, but no team is worth the risk of betting on as a -5000 favorite. Pass here and bet on the much safer spread and/or Over/Under instead.
Against the spread
WEBER STATE +21.5 (-110).
I am not a believer in this Oregon offense as the Ducks do not have a true offensive star, but are instead a team that relies on team offense. Five Ducks average double figures in scoring, but Oregon does not have a scorer that touches even 14 points per game (PPG). The Ducks also shoot just 45.8% from the field, good for 13th out of 18 teams in the Big Ten.
Oregon’s mediocre offense will allow the Wildcats to cover here. The Ducks are 7-5 ATS while the Wildcats are just 3-6-1 ATS.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 145.5 (-115).
The Under has hit in 3 of Oregon’s last 5 games and hit in Weber State’s last outing. With neither offense being anything to write home about, and both defenses being at least solid, the Under is nearly a lock here.
