“We have one player that’s still in a hotel room, because he was traded,” Rivers said. “We have three or four rookies who are living in an apartment by themselves. Two of them, unfortunately for them, just broke up with their girlfriends before the pandemic. So they’re at home by themselves. My guess – my guess – is that Tinder, and Raya, and all those other apps, they’re on every day. But as I tell them, ‘that’s all talk, brother. That’s all talk.’ But that’s tough for these guys. They don’t know how to cook, most of them. They’re dealing with real live stuff. So we have to make sure, mental-health wise, that we stay in communication with all these guys.”
