WATCH: Zion Williamson hits ridiculous layup surrounded by four Pistons

Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans hits an acrobatic layup surrounded by four Detroit defenders.

When the New Orleans Pelicans are playing, they’re almost must-watch television. Why? Former No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson. Just like with Steph Curry and the Warriors, you just never know what you’re going to get. Will Steph hit 12 threes and go for 60? You never know, but you have to catch every game to find out.

For Zion, will he break the backboard a la young Shaq? I mean, I wouldn’t rule it out. During New Orleans’ 128-118 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, Zion’s dominance down low was on full display, scoring 32 points on 13 of 18 shooting.

On the opening possession of the fourth quarter, Zion had the ball on the right elbow with rookie Saddiq Bey defending him. Zion spun left into the middle of the lane and proceeded to hit a double-clutch, up-and-under layup surrounded by four Pistons. Yes, four of the five Pistons on the floor were defending Zion, and he scored anyway.

Just Zion doing Zion things.
