Joe Burrow had an idea for a while the Cincinnati Bengals would make him the No. 1 overall pick.
And Wednesday, Bengals owner Mike Brown sent Burrow and his family letters, as well as No. 9 jerseys welcoming him to the team.
For the big night Thursday, it was head coach Zac Taylor on the phone with Burrow while the Bengals were on the clock to start the draft.
The team ended up releasing footage of the big moment, which includes shots of Taylor, Burrow and his family at their home in Athens, Ohio.
While the circumstances of the all-virtual draft were unique, the experience was clearly no less impactful for all parties.
