Watch: Young Texans fan is very unhappy with his Bill O’Brien-related Christmas gift

One father gave his young Texans fan a picture of Bill O’Brien for Christmas. It went about as well as you’d expect.

It should come as no surprise that former Texans head coach Bill O’Brien is persona non grata in the Houston area. After the horrible trades he executed as general manager and highly questionable coaching decisions he made over a 100-game stretch, O’Brien was mercifully fired in October.

Not that anybody has forgotten what he’d done over that time. In this video courtesy of the Lodge on 6th, we see one young man who’s quite happy with the DeAndre Hopkins autographed helmet he received for Christmas (though, of course, there’s a bittersweet component there, as O’Brien traded Hopkins to the Cardinals in March for running back David Johnson and the exchange of a couple draft picks).

Then, another young man in the family opens up his gift… and let’s just say that it wasn’t as well-received. A Bill O’Brien autographed picture? The verdict: NO.

Maybe if O’Brien hadn’t made that horrible trade (Hopkins currently leads the NFL in receiving yards with 1,324, while Johnson has amassed 746 total yards and five touchdowns in 10 games), he’d still be with the team, and the very thought of him would not be a repulsive element to young football fans in the Houston area.

As for the dad here — what were you thinking? Stick with coal if you’re trying to make a point!
