Whelp, it wasn’t a shutout.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got absolutely embarrassed by the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, losing a game 23-13 in a contest that wasn’t remotely close for the entire matchup. The team at least did work to save a shutout, though, with a touchdown pass to save a little face at the end of the matchup.
With 7:57 left, the Bucs sought to get some points to keep the game in a realm of possibility, and the team was able to do that through wideout Trey Palmer. Quarterback Baker Mayfield hit him with a nice ball down the seam and the Bucs cashed in on Palmer’s catch, scoring seven points — the Bucs would later throw a touchdown to Chris Godwin in garbage time.
