They call him third-and-Renfrow. But he’s a lot more than that. We just all thought his repertoire was at least limited to receiving and returning. But, no. Hunter Renfrow is just a flat-out football player.
In the first quarter, the Chargers attempted a fake punt. Punter Ty Long made a good pass and Tevaughn Campbell made the catch…for an instant. Until the 5-10, 185-pound Renfrow put his helmet into the ball, knocking it free for the incompletion.

It was a huge play for Renfrow, who a few minutes later gave the Raiders their best field position of the day on a punt return. The Raiders were unable to capitalize as they went for it on fourth and three from the 37 and the pass to Josh Jacobs was stopped for no gain.
There haven’t been many highlights for the Raiders early on. This little gem by Renfrow is about it so far.
