Houston Texans receiver Danny Amendola got his first touchdown pass in his first game with his seventh team in his career.
On a first-and-goal from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 8-yard line, Amendola caught a touchdown pass and extended Houston’s lead to 27-7 just before halftime.
Offensive coordinator Tim Kelly was looking forward to what the veteran could bring to the passing game.
“Danny’s obviously got some experience in the system, so looking for a guy that can come in and be reliable and make plays for us in the passing game,” Kelly said.
Catching a touchdown pass in your first game is a great way to show what you can bring to the offense.
