Believe it or not, it’s been 30 years since the first season of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired on television. If you were a kid growing up in the 90’s, there’s a strong chance that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was one of your favorite shows growing up.
Earlier this week while on quarantine, the members of the cast celebrated their 30 year anniversary in a Zoom call that was broadcasted live on Snapchat.
During the call, the crew recalled some of their best memories of the show and some of their best times with James Avery — aka Uncle Phil — who passed away in 2013.
They got a chance to watch some of those memories and, man, did things get emotional. Take a look.

“That just makes me teary…James Avery, James Avery, James Avery.” – Will Smith
What a moment. Nah, I’m not crying. It’s just the pollen outside. Wait, it’s raining? I meant to say it was a bit dusty in here, that’s all.
Avery was the rock that really held things down for the crew as Uncle Phil on set and as Avery off of it. He meant a lot to both the crew and fans of the show. It’s cool to see the rest of the cast paying homage like this.
