WATCH: Why the Boston Celtics shouldn’t overreact to their subpar season

Chris Mannix and company make a compelling case.

It’s hard not to be frustrated when your favorite team is expected to be in the mix as a contender and by the end of the season they are looking like they hardly belong in the playoffs, but there’s a lot of context that needs to be taken into account — and not all of it is COVID- and injury-related.

While impatient and perturbed fans are joining talk radio hosts in calling for major change to the team above the level of the roster itself, more than a few respected basketball minds are pushing back on that idea. One such camp is Chris Mannix and the guests of his latest “Crossover” podcast.

On it, they discuss Boston’s “lost” season and whether some of us may be taking it harder than we ought to.

Give the clip above a watch and see if you agree.
