WATCH: Why do the Boston Celtics have so much trouble closing out games?

Is there an easy fix to this ongoing problem?

The Boston Celtics have a closing problem; they are one of the worst teams in the NBA at closing out games.

This may well be a product of their young age overall as a ball club. Few teams in the league have played more overtime periods, and more than a few games lost by Boston might have gone another way if it had been able to score more late in the game.

While the Celtics appear to be trending in the right direction with wins against the Phoenix Suns and Orlando Magic, the team clearly has a ways to go given it took an overtime period and a career high from All-Star forward Jaylen Brown.

The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Beat” Evan Valenti and Adam Kaufman were recently joined by the new play-by-play announcer for the Maine Celtics, Brendan Glasheen, to talk on this ongoing issue.

Watch the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on how Boston might be able to change the trend.
