Why are the Boston Celtics among the NBA’s worst fourth quarter teams? Despite having two 2021 All-Stars and a 2020 All-Star on their roster, the Celtics continue to struggle to finish off even some of the league’s least-competitive teams.

Something of a mystery to even ardent fans and analysts both, it is increasingly becoming a topic of conversation to the chagrin of Boston’s supporters. Sports Illustrated’s Madelyn Burke, Rohan Nadkarni, and Michael Pina all gave their takes on why the Celtics struggle to find a rhythm when it comes to winning in the fourth quarter in the latest episode of the “Crossover” podcast.

While it could be something that may be a product of the unusual season itself, it’s a topic worthy of analysis given what we’ve seen from Boston of late.
