The Boston Celtics may have their work cut out for them when it comes to putting the finishing touches on getting the 2021-22 roster together, with a surging payroll due to All-Star forward Jayson Tatum‘s contract structure kicking in and (hopefully) re-signing veteran shooting guard Evan Fournier.
What are their options for making the team better? They will have no available cap space to sign free agents outright but have an array of cap exceptions they can use to navigate that issue.
