Boston Celtics two way center Tacko Fall is not the first Celtics to pick up a baseball bat — in fact, former Boston shooting guard and current president of basketball operations Danny Ainge had to be stolen away from the Toronto Blue Jays before he joined the Celtics as a player.
But there’s little debate who of the pair was better at the sport, even if Fall has a few inches on his boss to better see the pitch with at 7-foot-5.
That easy debate settled, just how good — or bad — are the Senegalese center’s baseball skills, anyway? We really only have his hitting ability and bat-flipping to judge, and the sample size is as small as you can get and still have a sample.
But what do his teammates think about his admittedly limited abilities in this novel sport for Fall?
Some are supportive, noting it was literally the first time he’s ever touched a bat, while others take advantage of the situation to get in a few good digs. Watch the video above to hear the roasting as well as the toasting of mighty Tacko at bat.
