The Boston Celtics are currently owners of their longest win streak of the 2021-22 NBA season at just four games. It’s hard to get too many games shorter and call it a streak, but it is still something for a team so consistently inconsistent that they have almost become the definition of a team stuck on the dreaded treadmill of mediocrity before their fortunes turned in recent days.
But the wings have been convincing ones, and the play noticeably better than we have seen in the past, the effort more complete and the action more connected. What can the Celtics do to keep up this level of play for the rest of the season from now through the stretch run — and perhaps even beyond to the postseason?
NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg recently talked it over with Phil A. Perry and Trenni Kusnierek on a recent episode of the NBC Sports “Early Edition” show, how veteran point guard Marcus Smart has helped fuel the success, and what Boston might do ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
