WATCH: Were there better free agents for Boston to sign than Jabari Parker?

Would Boston have been better off going another direction, or is this nonsense? Or is it too soon to tell?

So far, the Boston Celtics’ decision to sign former No. 2 pick of the 2014 NBA draft Jabari Parker has looked to be a wise one, with the Chicago native scoring 11 points and 4 rebounds in his first game playing for the Celtics while looking like a legitimate bench presence with upside.

Just 26 years old and widely regarded as a potential star before injuries derailed his career, Parker seems healthy and ready to contribute. But was he the best possible option out there for Boston to sign? Speaking on his eponymous CLNS Media podcast, Celtics champion forward Cedric Maxwell shared his thoughts on signing the Duke product over former Celtics liek Isaiah Thomas and Jared Sullinger to co-host Josue Pavon.

They also give their impression of Parker’s fit on the team so far, of course.
