For the first time since joining the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant made his highly-anticipated return to the Bay Area for a matchup against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
In the first quarter, Golden State welcomed the former Warrior in his first appearance at Chase Center with a tribute video. The 58-second clip featured a montage of highlights from Durant’s three-year stint with the Warriors. The video also included audio snippets from Steve Kerr and Durant.

During his run with the Warriors from 2017-2019, Durant averaged 25.8 points on 53.4% shooting from the field with 7.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest. Durant was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in two championship victories as a member of the Warriors.
On Saturday, Durant tallied 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field with five boards and three assists in the first half against his former club.
