Watch: Warriors’ Pat Spencer scores first career points with dunk vs. Grizzlies

The former lacrosse star recorded his first points in the NBA in memorable fashion.

In late February, the Golden State Warriors signed G League Santa Cruz standout Pat Spencer to a two-way contract.

Spencer’s unique road to the NBA started as a collegiate lacrosse player for Loyola University Maryland. On the lacrosse field, Spencer put together an historic career on the way to becoming the NCAA Division I leader in assists.

After his lacrosse career, Spencer transferred to play basketball for one season at Northwestern.

On Wednesday, the former lacrosse star notched his first points in the NBA in memorable fashion.

With just a minute left on the clock, Kevon Looney wrangled a rebound before connecting on a full-court pass to Spencer. The new two-way guard snatched the ball and threw down a dunk on the fastbreak for this first career points.
