While Steph Curry is quickly building a Most Valuable Player campaign, Jordan Poole has quietly taken over for the Golden State Warriors over the last two games. The third-year guard has recorded back-to-back games with 32 and 33 points to lead the Warriors to a pair of victories.
On Wednesday, Poole came in clutch for the Warriors before halftime against the Philadelphia 76ers.
After a slow start, the Warriors fell behind the Sixers by as many as 19 points in the first half. However, Golden State pushed back into the game with a late run.
With seconds ticking down in the half, Poole pulled up from half-court to bank in a deep buzzing-beating 3-pointer. The late triple from Poole cut Philadelphia’s lead to only nine points heading into the locker room.
