Similar to a long-distance Steph Curry 3-pointer, Gary Payton II dunks are becoming an expected feature when watching the Golden State Warriors this season.
After a flurry of dunks to open the 2021-22 campaign, Payton II continued his streak of highlight-worthy slams on Friday night at San Francisco’s Chase Center against the Chicago Bulls.
Before he started dunking all over the league to start the season, Payton II was known for his tenacious defense. On Friday, his fierce defense opened the opportunity for another nasty dunk.
In the second quarter, Payton II picked Zach LaVine’s pocket for a clean steal. The Oregon State Beavers product flew down the court the opposite way for a high-flying two-handed reverse dunk.

As the Warriors cruised to a 119-93 victory over the Bulls, Payton II tallied eight points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field with five rebounds and three steals in 21 minutes off the bench.
Payton II and the Warriors will be back on the court on Sunday in Charlotte against LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges and the Charlotte Hornets.
