Tua Tagovailoa and a slew of other Alabama talent, former and present, have been all over TV and radio in Miami ahead of Super Bowl LIV.

Tagovailoa, a projected top-five pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has been asked about his time as a member of the Crimson Tide and his relationship with Coach Saban plenty of times.

However, during an appearance on the Rich Eisen show, Tagovailoa was asked when he “pissed off” Saban the most.

He answered, “The sack I took on second and 26,” arguably the most iconic play for the Alabama football program.

Saban, who is known for his passion and frustration on the sidelines, pulled the former Heisman-finalist to the side after the game and asked what he was thinking when he took the sack.

“I thought it was a good time to joke with him, we just won the national Championship.” Says Tagovailoa, “so I told him, ‘well, we need more room to throw the ball, coach.'” A response not appreciated by Saban.

The future NFL quarterback also explained that he didn’t get to see how frustrated Saban was after the sack until he watched the play on television.

Regardless of how upset Saban was, the team won a ring on the very next play.
