For the second time today, the Rams defense came up with a colossal goal line stand to prevent the Indianapolis Colts from taking a lead. The first was a turnover on downs by Indianapolis, but this one was a takeaway by the Rams.
With about 10 minutes left in the second quarter, Troy Reeder picked off Carson Wentz’s ill-advised shovel pass from the 3-yard line to come up with a huge turnover. Aaron Donald gets the assist by bumping Jack Doyle, who was Wentz’s target, at the line of scrimmage, forcing the inaccurate pass by the quarterback.

The interception preserved the Rams’ 7-3 lead and prevented the Colts from scoring points off Matthew Stafford’s first interception of the season.
