Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has had a solid rookie season, even if injuries have kept him limited.
The limitation has meant Burks was yet to score his first NFL touchdown heading into Tennessee’s game against Cincinnati on Sunday. But one quarter into the game against the Bengals, that was the case no more.
Ryan Tanneyhill passed to Derrick Henry out of the backfield and the Tennessee running back took off for 69 yards down to the Bengals’ goal line. The ball, however, was smacked from his arms before he reached the end zone. Burks, who was downfield blocking, pounced on it it in the paint for the score.

The play was officially scored as a Burks touchdown on a fumble recovery for zero yards.
Whatever works.
Burks entered the game with 20 catches in six games for 264 yards. He was a first-round draft choice in April after an All-American season at Arkansas in 2021 in which he caught 66 balls for 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns.
