After a rough first half, the Jacksonville Jaguars got the third quarter off to a good start against the Washington Commanders.
The Jaguars opened the second half with a quick stop and then connected on a huge deep pass from Trevor Lawrence to prized free agent acquisition Christian Kirk for 49 yards.

Kirk was given a four-year, $72 million deal in the offseason specifically because of his ability to stretch the field. New offensive coordinator Press Taylor also talked earlier this week about explosive plays being a point of emphasis for the Jaguars in 2022.
Immediately after the 49-yard pass, Lawrence went back to Kirk for another 13 yards and then found running back James Robinson two plays later for a three-yard touchdown.
While the Jaguars missed a two-point conversion, the team cut into the Commanders lead and made the score 14-9.
