While the Boston Celtics were busy waxing the floor with the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday night, its two way players Tacko Fall and Tremont Waters were helping power the Maine Red Claws to a win.
Boston’s G League affiliate beat the Grand Rapids Drive (the Detroit Pistons’ G League affiliate) 100-93, with the LSU product logging 17 points and an eye-popping 14 assists while Fall put up 14 points, 9 rebounds and five blocked shots.
The Red Claws’ strong ties to the Celtics many rookies this season — they currently have seven on their roster — powering the team to second place in the G League East standings and the fourth-best record overall at 15-6.
The Red Claws next face the Erie Bayhawks on the road Tuesday at 7 pm ET.
