No. 3 national seed Tennessee (50-16) won the Knoxville Super Regional.
The Vols have advanced to play in the College World Series for the fifth time in program history.
Tennessee will open College World Series play against Virginia on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. EDT. ESPN2 will televise the matchup.
Tennessee arrived in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday for the College World Series.
Ahead of Tennessee’s first game, the official Twitter account of NCAA DI Baseball and the College World Series posted a video of Vols’ head coach Tony Vitello wearing a “Daddy” hat.
During the 2021 season, Tennessee players have worn a “Daddy” hat after hitting a home run.
