Watch: Titans’ Mike Vrabel storms out of presser after repeated Zach Cunningham questions

If you see Mike Vrabel out somewhere this weekend, DO NOT ask him about Zach Cunningham.

If you happen to see Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel out somewhere this weekend, DO NOT ask him about new linebacker Zach Cunningham.

After practice on Friday, Vrabel was naturally asked about the Titans’ newest linebacker, who the team claimed off waivers on Thursday, but he declined to talk about Cunningham.

Instead, Vrabel said he would get into the topic more next week since the 27-year-old wasn’t even with the team yet and wouldn’t play on Sunday.

However, Sports Illustrated’s John Glennon decided to give it one more shot, and it proved to be one shot too many, as it led to Vrabel storming off.

“This is ridiculous. Tell them who’s (expletive) out,” Vrabel said to media relations director Robbie Bohren. “This is so stupid, it’s a waste of my time.”

Video or it didn’t happen:

Now, we get both sides of the coin here.

The media should be asking questions about the team’s newest acquisition, and one that isn’t just a bottom-of-the-depth-chart player. And, Vrabel should be prepared to get multiple questions about him.

However, the Titans head coach did make it quite clear he wasn’t going to discuss Cunningham until next week the first time he was asked, and then proceeded to get two more questions about him after that.

Could Vrabel have handled it better? Absolutely, but as we’ve learned many times since 2018, if you mess with the bull that is Vrabel at pressers, you’re going to get the horns.
