Tennessee Titans 2021 fourth-round pick and wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick has scored his first career touchdown during the Week 11 contest against the Houston Texans.
With the Titans trailing 19-0 and desperately needing some points, quarterback Ryan Tannehill hit Fitzpatrick for an 18-yard score to cap off a 13-play, 78-yard drive.
Unfortunately, kicker Randy Bullock went on to miss the extra point, leaving Tennessee with a 19-6 deficit.
Fitzpatrick’s rookie campaign got off a to terrible start, as the Louisville product was cut out of training camp and brought back on the practice squad.
However, Fitzpatrick has been coming on strong of late by showing out in practice, which, along with injuries at the position, led to his being promoted to the active roster.
After the scoring catch, Fitzpatrick has two grabs for 30 yards on the afternoon, and he has one catch in each of the last two games. The two catches and 30 yards are both new career-highs for the rookie wide receiver.
