In the NBA, one of the most elusive stat lines that can be had is the 5 x 5, or scoring at least 5 each of 5 primary counting stats. And as if to drive the point home of just how versatile a big man he is, Boston Celtics center Robert Williams III put one up in his first career start, finally shedding the “reserve” title for at least the moment.
Timelord scored 7 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks to secure the 5 x 5 in the Celtics’ 122 – 114 road win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night in one of his best performances of a season filled with them.
He also threw in a pair of steals for good measure, and shot 3-of-5 from the field in 27 minutes of floor time with 0 turnovers and just 2 personal fouls.

We can expect to see more of Williams starting at the five for at least as long as veteran big man Tristan Thompson remains out — and it’s hard to see Rob going to the bench barring a sudden dip in play or surprising buyout addition.
Watch the video embedded above produced by Tomasz Kordylewski to see all of Timelord’s first career start’s best plays.
