WATCH: This was called offensive pass interference?

Marquise was flagged for OPI without touching a defender.

The Arizona Cardinals mustered only 31 total yards of offense in the first half against the Cleveland Browns. They should have had 26 more yards.

On what was a great throw by quarterback Clayton Tune to Rondale Moore that went for 26 yards, fellow receiver Marquise Brown was called for offensive pass interference.

It was a horrible call.

Check out the play:

It would be offensive pass interference if Brown had run into the defender coming across to cover Moore. As you can see, he didn’t make contact with anyone. It was Denzel Ward, the defender covering Brown, who “interfered” with Cameron Mitchell.

What an egregious mistake by the officials, taking the only real good play for the Cardinals in the first half.
