As the son of a legendary pro wrestler, the life of Cody Rhodes, with its ups and downs and numerous plot twists, has always seemed a bit like a movie. Now it’s actually becoming one, sort of, in the form of the “American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes” documentary coming to Peacock.
The trailer for the doc, which you can watch below, features a number of past and present WWE stars chiming in on Rhodes’ unique road to the top of the business, including The Undertaker, Triple H and Ric Flair. There’s also some emotional video of Cody himself, as well as clips from his time as Stardust, which he chimes in on by calling it “f–king maddening.”
There are also hints at his role in the creation of AEW. While it would be surprising indeed to hear a WWE project mention the competition by name, it’s an important part of Rhodes’ story and will be interesting to see exactly how it’s incorporated into the narrative.
